Carlos Soler, currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, appears to have found his best form at West Ham United, putting the club in a tough spot.

However, his time with the Hammers may be limited to just one season. Soler recognized the need for a fresh start this summer to secure regular playing time. While several clubs expressed interest during the transfer window, West Ham secured his loan deal on deadline day.

Radio MARCA reports that West Ham are not signing Soler this summer. PSG are considering another loan, with Valencia as a possible destination.

Claret and Hugh previously reported that West Ham United are highly unlikely to activate the option-to-buy clause in Soler’s loan deal. As a result, MARCA confirm the news of what the Hammers are intending on doing in a few months.

The report adds that while the transfer fee of just under €20 million isn’t the main hurdle, Soler’s high wages make any potential permanent move difficult to justify.

Additionally, the signing is seen as a decision made under former manager Julen Lopetegui, which could make Soler’s long-term future under Graham Potter uncertain as he continues to assess his inherited West Ham squad.
