Graeme Bailey of TBR Football has reported that West Ham United were interested in signing Endrick from Real Madrid in the winter transfer window. However, they were refused by the player and also the club. Michael Antonio and Niclas Fulkrug are sidelined with injuries, and hence they want to make a striker’s signing to fill the void.

West Ham United wanted to sign Endrick from Real Madrid?

They were linked to quite a number of strikers. However, Evan Ferguson has joined the club on loan at the end. However, the Hammers were still looking to strengthen the attack even more by signing Endrick from the Los Blancos.

The Brazilian signed for Real Madrid in the previous summer transfer window. Endrick has scored 1 goal in 14 matches so far in the La Liga 2024/2025 season. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes is 1.01. Moreover, Endrick’s total G/A (goals + assists) is 1 for this season. He has appeared in 14 matches this season in La Liga, playing a total of 89 minutes. This clearly shows that the Brazilian has struggled to get game time for the Spanish club.

Why didn’t the move go through?

Hence, West Ham United tried to tempt the player with the offer of regular game time. However, Real Madrid had no intention of letting him, plus the player was happy to stay at the Spanish club. However, it would have been great for Endrick to go to England and play regular football. The player and the club thought that staying with Real Madrid’s first team would be better for the Brazilian.

He is known for his remarkable finishing and dribbling skills at a young age. His physical strength belies his youth, allowing him to hold off defenders while his pace and movement off the ball create scoring opportunities. His potential is seen as world-class. So, the Hammers would have definitely received a huge boost if he decided to move to the club and hence it is definitely a blow for them. However, the Brazilian felt that it was better to stay at the Los Blancos and win prestigious trophies.
