Christopher Nkunku’s future at Chelsea is uncertain as top European clubs show increasing interest in the forward. According to Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, the 27-year-old could leave Stamford Bridge as early as January, with his representatives actively exploring potential moves.

Nkunku joined Chelsea in 2023 from RB Leipzig for £52 million but has struggled to cement a place in the starting lineup, fueling speculation about his next steps.

Journalist Ben Jacobs reported that Paris Saint-Germain is genuinely interested in bringing Nkunku back to Ligue 1, though they have yet to make a formal approach. Meanwhile, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg claimed Bayern Munich is pushing hard to sign the forward immediately.

The German champions have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Nkunku on a long-term deal, with all terms finalized. Nkunku is said to be eager to join Bayern as soon as possible.

The Bavarian giants will need to raise funds through player sales first to make any potential deal possible for Nkunku.

“It’s true. Bayern are still interested in signing Christopher Nkunku in the summer,” Christian Falk informed CaughtOffside in his exclusive Fact Files column.

“Sporting director Max Eberl is still keen on the player, but he has to make a few sales first to help facilitate this – including potential exits for stars like Kingsley Coman or Serge Gnabry.

“If Leroy Sané does not agree a new contract, this would increase Bayern’s chances of signing Nkunku, as the club would end up saving €20 million per year for their wage budget.”

Meanwhile, on Friday, Sky Sports News reported that Manchester United are considering the Frenchman as one potential target this January transfer window to bolster their attack.

“Christopher Nkunku is a potential target for Manchester United in this window,” Michael Bridge said. “Talks are understood to have been held between intermediaries about a move. Chelsea do not want to sell Nkunku, but it is thought they would be tempted to do business for £70 million. He is a player United are considering, but they are unlikely to meet the £70 million figure.”
