There is no love lost between Rangers fans and Ange Postecoglou. After all, the Tottenham Hotspur head coach is a former Celtic manager, and we all know the intense rivalry between the Gers and Bhoys.

Postecoglou returned to Ibrox on Thursday evening, as Tottenham took on Rangers in the UEFA Europa League.

Spurs are a Premier League club who nearly ended up in the top four last season. The North London outfit were expected to win against Rangers even at Ibrox.

However, Tottenham had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Rangers, who actually took the lead in the League Stage match in the opening minutes of the second half and threatened to register a famous win against Postecoglou’s side.

Rangers fans’ message to Ange Postecoglou

According to BBC Sport Scotland journalist Andy Burke, who was at Ibrox, Rangers fans were having fun at the expense of Postecoglou when their team were 1-0 up.

Burke said on BBC Sport Scotland at 9:11pm, December 12, 2024: “‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’ the Rangers fans chant gleefully in the direction of Ange Postecoglou.”

Tottenham eventually scored in the 75th minute to rescue a point, but Rangers will be happy with the point.

Ange Postecoglou needs to turn things around… soon

Things are not going well for Tottenham at the moment. Spurs lost against Chelsea in the Premier League last weekend and could miss out on the top four this season.

Tottenham are conceding far too many goals. They are unable to hold onto their lead. Against Chelsea, Spurs were 2-0 up after just 11 minutes. They lost 4-3.

Things need to improve for Tottenham. Spurs are still backing Postecoglou, but we are in a results business.

Tottenham will return to action on Sunday when they take on Southampton away from home in the Premier League.
