What’s missing for Svilar’s renewal to get done

These are crucial days for Mile Svilar, the Giallorossi goalkeeper who has won the trust of the team and the fans thanks to his high-level performances.
His presence at Trigoria continues to be reassuring and decisive, but now attention is turned to his contract renewal.
After having publicly declared that he wanted to stay at Roma, the agreement seemed imminent, but the negotiations have become more complicated than expected.
The expiry of his contract, initially set for 2027, could be extended to 2029, but the issue concerns both the financial part and the release clause.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Svilar, in fact, has attracted the interest of several top European clubs, including Bayern Munich, who are looking for a young goalkeeper capable of replacing the legendary Manuel Neuer.
Roma, despite valuing their goalkeeper at at least 50 million euros, have offered a salary of around 2 million net, just over double the current emoluments, but this may not be enough to convince the Belgian to stay.
Despite offers from important clubs, Svilar is doing well at Trigoria and, after an uncertain start, has found his place as a starter, earning the trust of mister Ranieri.
The urgency now is to sort out the renewal, in order to motivate Svilar to continue his growth path. Roma needs his solidity to reach the goal of the Champions League, but also to achieve a European placement in any competition.
With the transfer market still far away, it is the right time to secure the future of the Belgian goalkeeper.
