Genoa are giving the Serie A debut to 16-year-old wing-back Honest Ahanor in this evening’s big match against Juventus.
It kicks off at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).
You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from this game, Udinese–Inter and Bologna–Atalanta on the LIVEBLOG.
This fixture is played behind closed doors as a result of the violent clashes between Genoa and Sampdoria fans outside this stadium both before and after the Coppa Italia tie.
Genoa coach Alberto Gilardino has picked 16-year-old youth academy product Ahanor for his senior debut.
The player was born in February 2008 and has already surged through the ranks at various youth levels, playing for Genoa in the Under-17, Under-18 and Primavera teams.
He recently signed a new contract with the club to June 2027, the maximum length of a deal that a minor can commit to in Italian football.
Ahanor was born in the Campania region to Nigerian parents and joined the Genoa academy at a very early age.
He plays primarily as a left-back, but here seems to be an attacking left wing-back, while he can also be moved to central defence if needed.
Curiously, he had already hit the headlines a couple of weeks ago with reports of interest from Juventus, who will get a chance to see him up close today.
