Ruben Amorim’s decision to leave both Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of the matchday squad for Manchester United’s 2-1 derby victory over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Sunday could have an effect on Juventus and their pursuit of former Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, reports detail.
Both Rashford and Garnacho were left out of the Man United squad for non-tactical reasons.
At the same time, there are questions being asked about both of their long-term futures at Old Trafford. Rashford, who is one of the Premier League’s highest earners, has not been on form in front of goal for months on end, and there are growing rumours that he could be sacrificed in the near future, according to Calciomercato.com.
And though Garnacho is still only 20 years old, his position doesn’t quite fit in with the system that Amorim has deployed since moving over from Sporting CP.
Monday’s reports in Italy claim that if Manchester United decide to part ways with either Rashford or Garnacho, then Zirkzee is highly unlikely to be sold or loaned out as well, which could disrupt Juventus’s plans for the January transfer window.

Juventus have been pursuing a potential deal for the former Bologna forward for several months, as the Bianconeri look to bring in a low-cost option to compete with Dusan Vlahovic up front.
