Wojciech Szczęsny’s agent provides update on Barcelona future | OneFootball

The agent of Barcelona star Wojciech Szczęsny has on Tuesday provided an update on his client’s future with the club.

Szczęsny, for his part, has of course spent the last couple of months establishing himself as the new no.1 in Barcelona’s squad.

Brought in following the long-term injury suffered by Marc-André ter Stegen, the Pole has done a stellar job of displacing Iñaki Peña as Hansi Flick’s first-choice option between the posts.

So impressive has Szczęsny looked, in fact, that the widespread understanding is that the Camp Nou brass are ready to offer him a new contract.

The former Arsenal and Juventus man’s current Blaugrana terms are due to expire in the summer.

Amid mounting speculation that an extension offer will soon be on the table, Jonathan Barnett, in turn, was on Tuesday drawn on his client’s future once more.

And Szczęsny’s representative, in quotes provided to Jijantes and cited by Mundo Deportivo, went on to explain:

“Tek is delighted at Barcelona and Barça is very happy with Tek, so we’ll easily reach an agreement. When the time comes, we’ll understand each other quickly and we won’t put any obstacles in the way of him renewing his contract.”
