According to kicker, Wolfsburg have hijacked Eintracht Frankfurt’s deal for PAOK centre-back Konstantinos Koulierakis.

It had previously been reported that Die Adler had agreed to sign the Greek defender as a replacement for Willian Pacho, who recently departed for Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Dino Toppmöller’s side had also been considering other targets due to the Greek side’s reluctance to get the deal over the line with their Champions League qualifiers coming up.

Nevertheless, despite having lost to Malmö FF in their recent qualifiers, the deal for Koulierakis to join Frankfurt has collapsed.

As stated in the report, Wolfsburg have offered PAOK €12 million plus €3 million in future add-ons compared to the €10 million bid submitted by the Eagles.

As well as this, the Wolves have also offered the 20-year-old a more lucrative salary.

Therefore, it is now expected that Frankfurt will look towards other targets, such as Augsburg’s Felix Uduokhai and Southampton’s Armel Bella-Kotchap, after his move to Hoffenheim recently collapsed.
