Struggling Wolves have officially sacked boss Gary O'Neil.
The 41-year-old arrived at Molineux last summer after the club had parted ways with Scott Parker.
But sitting 19th after a 2-1 home defeat against Ipswich, Wolves have lost four on the bounce while boasting the worst defensive record (40 goals conceded) in the English top flight.
An announced via the club's social media feeds confirmed on Sunday that the former midfielder has parted ways with the Molineux outfit.
Chairman Jeff Shi said: “We’re very grateful to Gary for all of his effort, dedication and hard work during his time at the club, and we wish him and his team the best of luck for the future.”
Thoughts now turn to his successor with reports claiming that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Carlos Corberan are the early favourites.
