According to a report from Foot Mercato, Wolverhampton Wanderers want to sign Toulouse FC’s Zakaria Aboukhlal (24) this winter.
The Premier League side sit just above the relegation zone and are looking to bolster their squad for the second half of the season as they look to avoid the drop to the Championship. The club are in search of a right-winger and have been following Aboukhlal very closely.
The Moroccan international who represented the Netherlands in the underage brackets has had an excellent season so far for Le TéFéCé having registered six goals and two assists in 16 Ligue 1 fixtures. According to stats from Opta, the winger has registered the second-highest expected goals from his shots in Ligue 1, sitting behind only Jonathan David (the Ligue 1 top scorer).
The winger has long been linked with a move away from Toulouse. Last summer, Southampton were reportedly interested in trying to secure the winger.
