Croatia play their second consecutive World Cup final on Tuesay, when they lock horns with Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina.
Argentina will be looking to reach their second final in three World Cups, as they had lost to Germany the last time they made to the final stage of the tournament. The same applies for Croatia, who had lost to France in 2018 after beating England in the semi-finals in extra time.
Croatia’s unusual record in World Cups stood firm in the quarter-finals, as they beat Brazil on penalties and they are yet to win a single knockout game in a World Cup game since 1998. Argentina will be wary of the issues Croatia’s structured approach poses, as they look to help Lionel Messi win his first ever World Cup trophy.
