We bring you a couple of Leicester City stories to discuss on this winter Sunday evening. LCFC played Manchester City at King Power Stadium earlier on. We'll briefly report on that encounter, as well as offering our concise verdict on Ruud van Nistelrooy's team. That's coming up first of all.
The second thing to talk about: injuries. City have managed to avoid the ridiculous amount of injuries they suffered over the previous three seasons. That was really overwhelming for the roster. While defender Ricardo Pereira is a long-term absentee for Leicester, he wasn't being selected by former managers regardless. Another problem not directly related to the starting lineup may now have transpired. Nevertheless, a Fox currently faces a lengthy absence sidelined with a potentially serious issue.
Last of all on our list is an interesting story. Many fans will be aware that the world's richest footballer was once on the books at Leicester. The player in question was also in Southampton and Chelsea FC's academies respectively. So why did he leave the Foxes, the Saints and the Blues? And where is he now?
Although they've lost a few successive matches, the east Midlanders have shown signs of improvement. The Foxes must still show more to survive, however. Kick-starting Man City's fortunes was nonetheless a foreseeable byproduct of this emerging Foxes organisation.
Souttar is proving himself in the Championship with United. I've always been a fan of the centre back who possesses a good touch and the vision to execute incisive long passes. Whether he'll ever make it as a Premier League starter is up for debate.
But his campaign could well be derailed, sadly. The Blades, who lead the English second division, are 'fearing the worst' with regard to Souttar:
"...there is some concern over the length of his absence with sources telling The Star that Souttar damaged his Achilles against the Clarets. He was initially assessed after the game before reporting back to City for further assessment."The Star
Let's learn what Faiq Bolkiah's up to now:

Bolkiah enjoyed 32 games in total for the club, scoring two goals and creating four assists, before switching allegiance to Ratchaburi in 2023 – where he still plies his trade to this day.Holding both American and Bruneian citizenship, Bolkiah has also represented the latter on international duty six times – scoring a single goal for his efforts. While he never managed to quite make it in the Premier League, he played alongside the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham at youth level for Chelsea..."Mirror
