Former Blue Florent Malouda has admitted he’d love to see Victor Osimhen join Chelsea this summer and thinks he’d be an excellent signing.
The Blues are once again gearing up for a busy summer and could look to fund their business by selling as many as seven or eight players.
Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to try and take Enzo Maresca’s squad to the next level.
Chelsea have paid the price for failing to sign an alternative to Nicolas Jackson not just last summer, but also in January.
The Blues have been linked with a host of names, but the strongest links have been with Ipswich striker Liam Delap.
Supporters really want a top level striker to come in such as Osimhen, but it feels like Chelsea missed the boat with the Nigerian having negotiated with him for almost the entire of last summer.

John Obi Mikel has insisted Osimhen really wants to play for the club, and claimed a deal for the Nigeria international would be easy to do.
Malouda has now had has say and admitted he’d love to see the Blues sign Osimhen this summer, and believes he’d help Jackson.
“We’ve had brilliant African footballers in the past, and Osimhen can be the next generation of African players at Chelsea.
“I would love to see him join the club. I think he would be an excellent signing. I also think he would help someone like Nicolas Jackson improve.”
Chelsea are said to also have Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike on their shortlist, but a new name in the frame is Strasbourg’s Emmanuel Emegha.
Emegha is said to have been under consideration for some time by Chelsea, and he’s impressed for Strasbourg with 14 goals in Ligue 1 this season.

A move for the Dutch under-21 international wouldn’t be too difficult given the relationship between the two clubs.
However, if Chelsea want Emegha they may need to move quickly as the Blues won’t be able to do any business with Strasbourg if they both qualify for the same European competition.
