Xabi Alonso makes call on Nico Paz’s Real Madrid return | OneFootball

Incoming Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso is eager for Nico Paz to return to the club for next season.

That’s according to Radio MARCA, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park this summer.

Having evidently come to the conclusion that the options at the disposal of the incoming Xabi Alonso are lacking, Los Blancos have drawn up a shortlist of midfield target options.

One such option comes in the form of the aforementioned Nico Paz, in the midst of a stellar campaign in Italy with Cesc Fàbregas’ Como.

Real boast a buyback clause on the young Argentine, following his departure for Serie A last summer.

And if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then Xabi Alonso appears to be very much in favour of Paz’s comeback.

As per Radio MARCA, during a broadcast on Tuesday, the Spanish tactician wants Paz as part of his squad at the Santiago Bernabéu for 2025/26.
