Sergio Conceicao took questions this afternoon before AC Milan travel to face Genoa, but proceedings finished rather quickly, with the Portuguese giving a final one-word answer.

Since winning the Supercoppa Italiana, the Portuguese coach has been under immense pressure, as he has often referenced. Questions about his future have been nonstop, and it feels like this summer will be a storm for Milan to manage.

In his last press conference, Conceicao hinted at there being more going on behind the scenes than what was being let on, and stated that he would open Pandora’s Box effectively. Whereas today, it was more a focus on the present, and once again the past.

Rather than any questions about the future of his job, today’s press conference came to an abrupt ending, when Conceicao was asked about his experience so far, and whether there was a feeling of regret present, and his reply was quite simple.

Is there any regret, anger or disappointment for the Serie A standings?

“Yes… for everything.”

After that, he stood up, and the press conference ended. A very blunt ending, but perhaps a sign of how frustrated he is with things. Ultiamtely, he knows the quality in this team, and the recent run can certainly be seen as an insult to him, considering how poor they have been prior to recent changes.

There has been a lot said about him being let down by the management, but there seems to also be another anger, maybe towards the players.
