Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has insisted that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is not on his transfer radar.
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim did not include Marcus Rashford in his matchday squad against Manchester City for the Manchester derby, which has raised questions about the forward’s future at Old Trafford.
Postecoglou may want to add to his attacking options in next month’s transfer window, especially with Timo Werner struggling to perform.
Postecoglou, however, stated that the Manchester United star is not on his radar and added that he has no time to look at every player Spurs are being linked with.
The Spurs boss pointed out that he has people at the club who look into their transfer targets and stressed that they have been disciplined so far with the process of recruiting players.
When asked whether Spurs are looking to sign Rashford, Postecoglou said at a press conference: “Ah, mate, if I looked at everyone we were linked to, I would have no time to do anything else to be honest.
“I have got other people to do that part of the process.
“For us, we’ve been pretty disciplined in what we’re trying to build here and we’ll continue to be so.
“That’s not on my radar.
“You can ask me about Marcus but you can ask me about every single Premier League footballer and I’ll say the same thing.”
Tottenham are set to take on Manchester United in the EFL Cup on Thursday and it remains to be seen whether Rashford will be in Amorim’s matchday squad for that game.
