The players set to be unavailable for action when Millwall host Blackburn Rovers this weekend
David Livermore will take charge of his first game as interim Millwall manager this weekend when the Lions take on Blackburn Rovers.
Neil Harris stepped down following the 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough last weekend, ending his 10-month spell in charge.
The London club will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Rovers at the Den, having lost their last three league games in a row.
This run of results has seen them drop to 13th in the table, nine points adrift of the top six.
However, John Eustace’s side are the in-form side in the division at the moment, winning each of their last six fixtures, moving up to fifth in the table as a result.
A seventh victory in a row could even take them into the top four, if results elsewhere also go in their favour.
Here we take a look at all the players set to be unavailable for Saturday’s 3pm clash between the two sides…
Dan Kelly is currently absent with an ankle injury and has been out of the team since early December.
The 19-year-old is unexpected to be available for this weekend’s clash with Blackburn.
Josh Coburn is also set for the sidelines this weekend, having been absent with a knee injury since the end of November.
His last appearance for the Lions came in a 1-1 draw with Oxford United, where he was only able to manage 45 minutes of action.
Jake Cooper is expected to return to the Millwall side in January, having been out of the team since their 1-1 draw with Stoke City in early November.
Callum Scanlon, on loan from Liverpool, has returned to his parent club as he rehabilitates his current injury issue and will not be available for selection this weekend.
The 19-year-old has only made one appearance for the team so far this season, coming off the bench in the final stages of their 1-0 loss to Luton Town in September.
Balazs Toth has been out of the first team squad with an ankle injury and is not set to return in time for the trip to the Den this weekend.
The goalkeeper joined in a deal worth a reported £1m in the summer.
Arnor Sigurdsson has been absent since the start of December, and was scheduled to miss just a few weeks of action.
However, there has been no indication that he has been able to recover from his thigh injury in time for Saturday’s trip to face Millwall.
Hayden Carter remains unavailable as he continues his recovery from knee surgery, which he had in October.
The 24-year-old last featured in Eustace’s side in the 0-0 draw with West Brom earlier this season, and won’t play again in 2024, as he targets a January or February return date.
Scott Wharton remains out of action, having not played at all this season due to injury.
His last appearance for Blackburn came in April against Sheffield Wednesday, with the defender set for a long-term spell on the sidelines.
