The Globe Soccer gala is held on an annual basis in Dubai, with the aim of recognising the standout performers from across world football over the year prior.

The most prestigious accolade handed out comes in the form of Men’s Player of the Year, a title currently held by Kylian Mbappé.

So, who is up for the prize this time round?

As alluded to above, alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, come a number of players from La Liga heavyweights Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atlético Madrid.

From the first, the trio of Robert Lewandowski, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal are in the running.

Reigning European champions Real Madrid are represented by reigning holder Mbappé, Dani Carvajal, Federico Valverde, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Jr, and the retired Toni Kroos.

Finally, Antoine Griezmann’s ongoing excellence sees the Frenchman put forward as the sole nominee from Diego Simeone’s Atlético squad.
