AC Milan and Inter will face each other another two times this season, with a two-legged Coppa Italia semi-final set for April.
Milan booked their place in the final four of the competition earlier in the month with a 3-1 victory over Roma, which came thanks to a brace from Tammy Abraham and a goal from debutant Joao Felix.
They knew that Inter or Lazio would be the opponent based on the outcome of last night’s other quarter-final, and the Nerazzurri prevailed 2-0 with a Marko Arnautovic volley and a Hakan Calhanoglu penalty.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Football Italia), the two-legged tie has dates set for Wednesday 2 April and Wednesday 23 April, therefore meaning a three-week break between the first game and the second game.
However, the paper does mention that the dates could be changed, i.e. brought forward or postponed by one day depending on the how the fixture list looks for both teams and naturally the influence of television.
What has already been decided is that the Rossoneri will play the first leg as the ‘home’ team, meaning that Inter will be the hosts for the second leg. The other semi-final is between Bologna and the winner of Juventus-Empoli.
