The transfer team at Real Betis are sniffing around the signature of a 2nd member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Barcelona, with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Pau Víctor as the player in question.
Frontman Víctor, for his part, has of course found game-time largely difficult to come by in Catalunya’s capital across the season to date.
Sitting behind the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ferran Torres in the attacking pecking order in Hansi Flick’s squad, the 23-year-old has been afforded a total of 17 appearances.
Only one of these has come in the form of a start, though, for a total of 220 minutes on the pitch.
The aforementioned Real Betis, in turn, are giving consideration to tempting Víctor away from Barcelona, by way of a January offer.
After snapping up Vitor Roque from the Blaugrana during the summer, Manuel Pellegrini and co. consider the Spaniard another potentially fruitful addition.
Víctor, for his part, is keen to stay put for the remainder of the term, battling it out for game-time ahead of re-assessing his future next summer.
In the case of Barca’s wage bill problems not being solved by late-January, though, it is not out of the question that a Verdiblancos switch could come to fruition for the attacker.
