Agent Mario Giuffredi confirmed the recent reports about Napoli signing Luca Marianucci from Empoli and Francesco Pio Esposito inking a long-term contract with Inter in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.
“We have a verbal agreement with the Partenopei, both us and Empoli. The transfer has basically been sealed. As for the striker, we have shaken hands with the Nerazzurri for a renewal until June 2030. We’re waiting for the technical times to put pen to paper and formalize it, but it’s a done deal.”
The Spezia starlet was on some top team’s radar.
“He was born in 2005. The most important clubs called us to inquire about him. However, he’s very attached to Inter. We have an excellent relationship with them. We were both convinced about the journey he should have. I’ve always answered to the various outfits out of courtesy, but our idea was clear.”
Giuffredi also represents Mattia Zaccagni.
“A few sides were interested in him in summer and even in January. However, he has made a well-defined decision, which is to become Lazio’s captain.”
Instead, Cristiano Biraghi and Micheal Folorunsho did transfer in the past window.
“The former could have joined Napoli on deadline day, but we picked Torino. You also choose based on the spirit of the team. It’s a prestigious and important club where he could spend a few years. The latter wanted to have more room. The Azzurri play once a week. He had some champions ahead of him and couldn’t have continuity. He wanted to go to a big team. The deal was born in late December.”
