According to a report from L’Équipe, Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina (31).

The former OGC Nice midfielder, who has played 16 times for Wolves this season, scoring once and netting three assists, recently lost the captain’s armband following a scuffle at the end of a defeat to West Ham United. Al Shabab are now in talks to sign Lemina, L’Équipe understands. The Premier League side are not against selling the midfielder, whose contract with the Midlands club expires at the end of the season.

Unless a contract extension is signed, the January transfer window represents the final opportunity to garner a fee for Lemina. Another, unnamed European club are also interested in the player.

Al Shabab do have an alternative to the Wolves midfielder. There are also talks about the signing of former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes, who currently plies his trade in Serie A for AS Roma.
