Newcastle United are preparing to host Fulham at home in the Premier League this weekend. The former side registered a 3-1 victory over Southampton in their previous game and will be high in confidence when they take onto the field on Saturday.
The Magpies are fifth on the points table and a win can push them higher on the table. Moreover, this fixture will setup a tone for the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final round against Arsenal, which is right after this game.
Defence
Martin Dubravka made some good saves in the previous game and he will be high in confidence between the sticks. Tino Livramento is doing everything right and should be retained as the right-back.
Dan Burn and Fabian Schar remain intact at the heart of the defence. However, the latter wasn’t good enough and needs to step up immediately. No change at the left-back spot as Lewis Hall continues to play there.

Midfield
Sandro Tonali enjoyed a great time against Southampton and is once again the deep-lying midfielder. To partner with him in the middle of the park, Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes are the prime contenders.
Attack
While Jacob Murphy is operating on the right wing, Anthony Gordon is providing his services from the other side of the pitch. No prize for guessing who’s starting as the number nine in the lineup. It’s Alexander Isak once again, who is having a great time so far.
Jamal Lascelles is sidelined for the rest of the season with an ACL injury while Callum Wilson has a hamstring injury. On the other hand, Harvey Barnes is facing some issues with his muscle and might not be able to particiapte in this fixture.
