Aston Villa sanctioned the sale of Jhon Duran this week with the forward joining Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr for a fee in the region of £65m. Ollie Watkins, however, is likely to remain despite interest – and an approach – from Arsenal.

Donyell Malen could start in the forward line after being ineligible for the midweek win over Celtic. However, Matty Cash has joined Tyrone Mings, Amadou Onana, Ross Barkley and Pau Torres on the sidelines.

Boubacar Kamara deputised at centre-back in midweek and should continue in a defensive role. Villa are working to sign a centre-back before the deadline with interest in Chelsea’s Axel Disasi. Ian Maatsen or Lamare Bogarde could replace Cash at right-back.
