Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid have on Friday been afforded not one, but two boosts on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that two sidelined members of the club’s squad have linked back up with the rest of their teammates in training.
The pair in question? Clément Lenglet, and Pablo Barrios.
Both defender Lenglet and midfielder Barrios were forced to sit out each of Atlético’s last three outings across all competitions.
As much came owing to respective injuries suffered during the Rojiblancos’ victory over Leganés two weeks ago.
Lenglet, for his part, had managed to play a partial role in group activities in training over the last couple of days, with Barrios having continued to be put through his paces separately.
As alluded to above, though, on Friday, both players were back in the thick of things in the Spanish capital.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘The session on Friday, November 1st, brought the good news of the presence of Pablo Barrios and Clement Lenglet, both now recovered from their respective injuries.’
The pair, in turn, could well be afforded call-ups for Atlético’s La Liga meeting with Las Palmas on Sunday afternoon.
