FC Barcelona are always on the lookout for young and promising footballers with great potential to reinforce the club’s youth and reserve ranks.
Given how La Masia is churning out special talents one after the other and considering the club’s financial situation, it makes sense for the Blaugrana to focus on their youth recruitment to build stars for the future within the club.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Barcelona are among a host of top clubs in Europe eyeing Leicester City’s teenage prodigy Jeremy Monga.
Just 15 years old, Monga is regarded as one of the best young players to have come through the ranks at Leicester, with the teenager already a regular in training with the senior team.
The young winger has one goal and four assists from five matches in the U-18 Premier League for the Foxes’ youth team. He also has a goal and an assist each from six games in the Premier League 2 with the reserve team.

Monga is also a part of the England Under-16 national team already and has been tipped for a bright future.
The teenage winger cannot sign a professional contract until he turns 17 years old, which will happen in July 2026. As such, clubs are sniffing around wanting to sign him.
As mentioned earlier, Barcelona are one of a plethora of top clubs in Europe monitoring Monga, with the Catalans understood to have lodged an enquiry for the 15-year-old already.
However, the young winger is also courting strong interest from Premier League bigwigs Chelsea and Manchester City.
Furthermore, PSG are also keen on the Leicester City starlet and have enquired about a possible transfer.
It remains to be seen if Barcelona take any further steps in their bid to sign Monga, having recently missed out on the signing of Portuguese prodigy Cardoso Varela.
