Hansi Flick has rejuvenated Barcelona since his arrival last summer, instilling discipline, refining player management, and, most importantly, giving the team a new tactical identity.
The German’s structured approach has provided much-needed stability, allowing the squad to flourish under his guidance.
While the journey has had its ups and downs, cohesion has never been in doubt under Flick, with the team displaying a clear sense of unity and purpose in every match.
Such a transformation has convinced the Barcelona hierarchy to try and extend the contract of Flick, which expires in the summer of 2026.
According to MARCA, however, Flick is in no hurry to renew his contract at Barcelona at the moment.
Despite the transformation he has overseen, the German coach remains focused on the present and has no immediate plans to discuss his future at the club.

Flick, who has a contract until June 2026, has reiterated that he is in no rush to negotiate an extension, even though he feels extremely comfortable in Barcelona.
The club hierarchy shares this sentiment largely because Flick’s sentiment is borne more from his desire to not discuss his future rather than remaining coy and keeping his future open.
“I don’t think long-term. In football, things happen very quickly, and everything changes. At the end of the season, we’ll see. But I feel very good here. I love working with Barça and with the team,” Flick stated ahead of Barcelona’s clash against Real Betis last month.
His response on Saturday remained largely the same: “I love working for this team and for this club. I have time, I have another year left, and then we’ll see. One season is a long time for a coach.”
Barcelona’s board is delighted with Flick’s work and hopes he will lead the team for years to come. However, with trophies still up for grabs this season, the club believes discussions about his long-term future can wait.
