La Liga giants Barcelona could yet reap the rewards of mounting interest from across Europe in the signature of Sporting CP star Francisco Trincão.

This comes amid confirmation that a pair of continental heavyweights have joined the hunt for the talented attacker.

Trincão is for his part in the midst of a superb start to the new campaign.

Finally looking back to his brilliant best on the books of Portuguese giants Sporting CP, the 24-year-old has directly contributed to 11 goals across 11 league appearances in 2024/25.

This includes a Liga Portugal-best haul of eight assists.

With such impressive production comes inevitable outside interest, with recent weeks having seen reports mount surrounding admiring glances towards Trincão from a whole host of clubs.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word to have surfaced on Tuesday is anything to go by, then two new suitors appear to have added their names to the fray.

As per a report from Portuguese outlet O Jogo, as cited by Diario Sport, scouts from both Bayern Munich and Manchester City will be in attendance at Sporting’s Champions League meeting with Arsenal later tonight.

This comes with a view to watching Trincão in action.

And also keeping a close eye on such developments will be the aforementioned Barcelona.

The La Liga table-toppers boast both a 50% sell-on clause, and buyback option, as part of the deal which sent the 24-year-old to Lisbon on a permanent basis in 2023.
