Those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona will be keeping a close eye on developments in this evening’s meeting between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the situation.

German football’s two leading clubs are currently locked in action, in a crunch Bundesliga clash.

Amid Bayern Munich’s ongoing efforts to wrestle back German football supremacy, the Bavarians have welcomed Dortmund to the Allianz Arena.

And watching on with intent from afar, as alluded to above, will be members of staff from none other than Barcelona.

The Blaugrana are currently halfway through a Champions League tie with Dortmund, therefore eager to keep as close an eye on their upcoming opponents’ performance as possible.

And, in the case of advancing beyond Dortmund – which looks highly likely after their first-leg rout – Barca could yet be pitted against the other half of the Klassiker divide, in Bayern Munich.

Vincent Kompany’s side currently trail Inter Milan by two goals to one in their own Champions League quarter-final tie, but in the case of turning things around, Barcelona will have the Bundesliga table-toppers well scouted.
