Ferguson is struggling for playing time at Brighton at the moment, and the Seagulls are willing to loan out the striker.

This is a boost for Tottenham, who are among the clubs who are keen on a deal for the 20-year-old, who was described as a “superstar” by former Manchester City defender Micah Richards on BBC Sport in August 2023.

The report has claimed that West Ham United and Bournemouth are also interested in the Republic of Ireland international striker.

View: Evan Ferguson should not join Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham, linked with David Hancko, are one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, but things are not going well for the North London outfit.

Spurs are only eight points above the relegation zone and have lost five of their last six Premier League games.

It is not going great for Tottenham, and it is not a good time for Ferguson to make the move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 20-year-old striker needs a positive environment to grow, and at the time, it is not very positive at Tottenham.

Moreover, Ferguson will struggle to play regularly for Spurs. Once Richarlison is fully fit, the Brazil international will play week in and week out.

Dominic Solanke is injured at the moment, and the former Chelsea and Liverpool striker will get into the team once he recovers.

Ferguson has made two starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Seagulls so far this season. He has scored one goal in those games.

Brighton are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 34 points from 23 matches.
