Celtic have posted a cheeky dig at Rangers after their 4-1 win at Tynecastle. The Scottish Champions arrived at the Edinburgh club knowing that they could open up a gap over Aberdeen and rivals Rangers after results earlier in the day.
Aberdeen were beaten 2-1 by Stephen Robinson’s St Mirren in Paisley while Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw at Ibrox, which piles more pressure on Philippe Clement. The results on Saturday now mean that Celtic are three clear of Aberdeen and eleven clear of third placed Rangers.
The Celtic Twitter admin were able to include this stat in their post match content as they celebrated Kyogo’s 80th goal for the club.
Rangers are said to be considering a managerial change but with Clement under contract until 2028, they may struggle to get rid of the Belgian manager. For Celtic, the focus is on Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with Club Brugge.
The milestone for Kyogo is impressive as he continues to record clinical stats for the club. Nicolas Kühn is just five goal involvements (G/A) from marching Jota’s best season in a Celtic shirt, which is phenomenal given that we aren’t even into December yet.
