Chelsea have triggered the option to extend Guro Reiten’s contract until 2026.
The 30-year-old Norwegian winger has been a key part of the Blues’ squad since joining from LSK Kvinner in May 2019.
Reiten has made 177 appearances for Chelsea, and has won five Women’s Super League titles, three FA Cups, two League Cups, and the Community Shield.
She is Chelsea’s leading scorer in the WSL this season with six goals, a total second only to last year’s Golden Boot winner, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw.
Reiten was named November’s WSL Player of the Month, with her goal-scoring contributions vital to Chelsea’s winning streak this season.
Sonia Bompastor’s side sit top of the WSL table, six points clear of Manchester City and are back in action on Sunday against Charlton in the FA Cup fourth round.
Chelsea’s WSL title defence resumes on Sunday 19 January, when they face West Ham.
