Chelsea co-owner Jonathan Goldstein insists head coach Enzo Maresca, who is under increasing pressure, will remain in charge until the end of the season.

Maresca inked a five-year contract when he joined this summer and oversaw an excellent start which had Chelsea touted as outside contenders for the Premier League title in December. But a miserable slump in form has brought just three wins from the club's last 11 games across all competitions.

With a growing number of Chelsea's supporters turning on Maresca and voicing frustration towards the current direction of the club, co-owner Goldstein has weighed in on the Italian's future at Stamford Bridge.

"He's doing a great job," Goldstein told Bloomberg TV. "Chelsea started the season very well. The last six weeks have been, you know, finding their feet a little bit more.

"But Enzo has clearly done a great job in bringing the team together, bringing the talent through. And we're very optimistic for the rest of the season in how that plays out."

Asked whether Maresca will remain in charge for the final few months of the season, Goldstein insisted that the former Leicester City boss has the "100%" backing of the club's hierarchy.

Morale around Chelsea has plummeted in recent weeks. Fans inside Stamford Bridge have been heard chanting for former owner Roman Abramovich alongside banners challenging controlling owners Clearlake Capital, led by Behdad Eghbali and Jose Feliciano, to change their approach to running the club.

Maresca's recent claim that those in charge had not even demanded a spot in this season's top four only drew more frustration from fans who long for a return to the high standards held during Abramovich's trophy-laden tenure.
