Roma boss Claudio Ranieri addressed the media ahead of Sunday’s match with Parma scheduled for 12h30.
“I don’t want to watch the second half of Como again, it shocked me and I can’t hide my disappointment,” said Ranieri in view of the upcoming Serie A fixture.
“We must face Parma with the same determination that has distinguished us since I arrived,” he added.
“Parma are a lively team, with good attackers and they play vertically.”
“Hummels and Paredes are two huge reference points in my eyes, absolutely essential. You understand how much of a leader a player is only when you have him at your disposal.”
“I look for the best from everyone, and it’s something you either have or you don’t have and if you don’t have it I can’t put it in you.”
“Ndicka is better off playing on the left in a three-man defense where he creates more numerical superiority for me.”
“The January market? We will bring to Rome players who deserve to play in a club like Roma, it will not be easy. It’s not easy in the summer, and it’s even harder to do in January.”
“We will need guys who will also be the future of Roma,” he added. “We will try to make sure that Roma gets closer to high levels again.”
“I try to do my best as the team’s head coach. Staying as a coach? We haven’t talked about it, but I will give my all for whatever the owners ask of me.”
“Since we don’t have a new coach, we will try to sign good players for the Roma of now and the future.”
“Zalewski? I’m not thinking about it, Ghisolfi thinks about these things, for me he is a very good player. I see him much more free when he plays with his national team, I would like him to play like that here.”
