Ahead of their midweek Europa League showdown with Athletic Club, Roma will first turn their focus to Serie A, hosting Como at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
Speaking prior to kick-off, Como midfielder Lucas Da Cunha appeared on Sky Sport to discuss his side’s approach against the Giallorossi this evening—including the absence of manager Cesc Fabregas, who’s suspended for the game.
“It’s true that he (Fabregas) won’t be with us, and it will be different, but it doesn’t change anything for us,” stated the Frenchman. “He’ll still be with us in spirit.”
“As for Roma, they’re in good form—but we are, too. We are Como, and we know what we need to do tonight: we’re ready. For me, we’re a team who’s capable of doing more, but we’re ready for tonight.”
Adding, “The January transfer window certainly helped the team, and things have gone a lot better for us ever since January.”
With Como showing signs of growth and confidence, they will look to challenge an in-form Roma side at the Olimpico in a crucial league encounter.
