Antonio Conte feels that Napoli have “used up their bonus” in the Serie A title race against Inter Milan.
The coach spoke in a press conference after yesterday’s Serie A draw against Genoa, via FCInterNews.
The Serie A title race is now back to within one point.
Yesterday evening, Inter won their match against Torino. They prevailed 2-0 away in Turin.
On the other hand, league leaders Napoli had to settle for a draw. They led twice at home to Genoa, but in both cases, the Grifone clawed their way back into the match.
It is still advantage Napoli in the title race.
But only by the slenderest margin possible. The Partenopei are now just one point ahead of Inter at the top of the league table.
Therefore, if Napoli are to drop points against either Parma or Cagliari, then Inter would have the chance to overtake them right at the climactic moment of the season.
For their part, the Nerazzurri’s final two matches of the campaign are at home against Lazio and then away to Como.

After yesterday’s match against Genoa, Napoli coach Antonio Conte admitted that “it’s inevitable that we’d feel some bitterness at the moment.”
“We didn’t deserve to drop points like this,” he insisted.
“At the same time, we have to understand that we used up our bonus by only taking one point,” Conte added.
The Napoli coach made clear that “Now we have to win our two remaining matches.”
“There’s not much left for us to do if we aspire to do something incredible and win the title.”
Then, Antonio Conte also noted that “today we lost another important player, Lobotka.”
“But we haven’t made bad luck an excuse all season. We’ll still find the solution.”
“Then, if the other teams are better than us, congratulations to them,” the Napoli coach added.
