Antonio Conte rejoiced for the strong result versus Milan but stayed cautious as far as the title race was concerned. He dished to DAZN (via OneFootball).
“We don’t hide, and we’re doing something incredible. Not even the craziest ones could have imagined it. I have broad shoulders and always take responsibility. At the start of the season, each club knows what’s its goal. Ours was returning in Europe. Five or six other teams have the same idea, though. You shouldn’t forget that we finished 41 points behind Inter in 2024/2025. We want to make the fans dream, but we have to stay balanced.”
Conte indicated his personal timetable.
“Winning the Scudetto with Napoli would be incredible. We have given ourselves three years, as we’re rebuilding something. We need time and can’t accelerate the process and hope for one-time miracles. It’ll be very tough, and achieving our objective would be important. At the same time, we don’t set limits for ourselves and remain humble.” “There’s a nice, healthy, passionate, and enthusiastic atmosphere in Naples. That makes me proud, and I want to win every match when I find myself in these situations. We prepared this match in just one session. I thank the staff, which I stress every day. It’s one of the best groups I have ever had.”
Conte lauded Romelu Lukaku, who needed just five minutes to return to the stat sheet.
