Real Madrid could be handed a major boost in their pursuit of Ibrahima Konate, as recent report from Fichajes suggests that Liverpool may be open to selling the defender if contract renewal talks do not go as planned.
The centre-back’s future at Anfield appears to be uncertain, and with the next transfer window approaching, speculation around his potential departure is beginning to grow.
Konate has been a crucial part of Liverpool’s defensive setup since his arrival, providing physicality and composure at the back.
However, with his contract situation still unresolved, the Premier League side might be forced to make a decision.
If an agreement is not reached regarding an extension, Liverpool could be willing to accept an offer close to £50 million ( around €59.4 million) for his transfer.
This has alerted several top European clubs, including Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, both of whom are keeping a close eye on the situation.

Real Madrid have been actively searching for defensive reinforcements following the departures of key players in recent seasons.
The club views Konate as an excellent addition to their backline due to his strength, ability to read the game, and experience at the highest level.
His performances in both domestic and European competitions have caught the attention of scouts, and if Liverpool fail to secure his future with a new deal, Madrid could seize the opportunity to bring him to Spain.
Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on strengthening their defence as part of their ongoing squad restructuring. The French giants are looking to add young, high-quality players, and Konate fits their vision perfectly.
Having already proven himself in the Premier League and on the international stage, he is seen as a valuable asset who could improve any top team’s defensive stability.
Despite the growing uncertainty, Liverpool’s priority remains securing a contract renewal with Konate. However, if talks do not progress positively, they may have no choice but to consider offers for him in the summer.
