Borussia Dortmund have interest in talented TSG Hoffenheim midfielder Tom Bischof, who could be available on a free transfer next summer.

Tom Bischof is regarded as one of the most exciting young midfield talents in German, and has established himself as a key player for Hoffenheim this season. Several of the Bundesliga's biggest clubs are lining up to sign the 19 year old, who will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Will Borussia Dortmund pursue a move for Tom Bischof?

Bayern Munich are thought to be leading the race, with Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig also in the race. According to SportBILD, Borussia Dortmund also have interest in signing Bischof. But it remains to be seen just how feasible a potential move for the Germany youth international will be.

Borussia Dortmund have a number of central midfielders in their ranks, including the likes of Emre Can, Felix Nmecha, Marcel Sabitzer, and Pascal Groß, as well as Salih Özcan (currently on loan at Wolfsburg). The highly rated Kjell Wätjen is also part of the BVB first-team squad, and they also have the likes of Julian Brandt and Gio Reyna slightly further up the pitch.

So barring any player sales, the chances of Borussia Dortmund bolstering their midfield next summer are not viewed as very high by the magazine. This would also mean that a move for highly rated Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham, brother of Jude, is unlikely next summer.

Tom Bischof has been in fine form of late for Hoffenheim, and recently scored a stunning goal for his side against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
