Damsgaard started all six of the Bees' January fixtures, with five of those being in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup against Plymouth Argyle.
Across the five league games, he set up a further three goals, taking his tally of assists to eight and his direct goal involvements number to 10 in the top flight this season.
The first of those assists came on New Year's Day in a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal at Gtech Community Stadium. Damsgaard intercepted a pass midway inside his own half and ghosted past Martin Ødegaard before releasing Bryan Mbeumo to open the scoring.
The Dane's other two assists both came in away victories, setting up goals for Kevin Schade as Thomas Frank's side picked up three points over Southampton and Crystal Palace respectively.
Against the Saints, he won a 50/50 with Paul Onuachu in the middle of the park and beat Lesley Ugochukwu, before playing a superb left-footed pass through to Schade, who poked past Aaron Ramsdale to net Brentford's first goal in a 5-0 victory - the club's biggest-ever Premier League win.
In the 2-1 success at Selhurst Park, Damsgaard cut onto his left foot on the corner of the box and clipped a delightful cross into the area which Schade powerfully and bravely headed into the back of the net.
