Di Stefano says Ibrahimovic must assess future with Milan after Furlani’s statement

Giorgio Furlani travelled to New York and came back with all the power, proving above all to Zlatan Ibrahimovic that he’s the man in charge. As such, the Swede will have to asses his future at AC Milan.
Ibrahimovic was hired by Gerry Cardinale and RedBird as a ‘Senior Advisor to the AC Milan ownership’. In other words, he’s not technically hired by the Rossoneri and this season, there has been a lot of confusion about his role and powers.
As highlighted by Peppe Di Stefano on Sky Italia, Furlani put his foot down during the trip to New York and Cardinale renewed his trust in the CEO. Compared to before, there is now a clear hierarchy as Furlani has the final say and not Ibrahimovic, who previously was on the same level as the CEO.
Therefore, as the journalist continues, Swede will have to assess his role and the future with Milan. If he can accept being subordinate to Furlani, then he can still offer the Rossoneri a lot but then again, he would have to accept such an outcome.
Currently, Ibrahimovic is struggling with the flu and thus hasn’t been present at Milanello for the last few days. It remains to be seen if he will be present at San Siro for Milan-Como tomorrow.
