Edoardo Bove details life after heart attack: “Without football, I feel like a part of me is missing.” | OneFootball

Edoardo Bove was the special guest of last night’s segment of the Sanremo musical festival.

The Roma midfielder, on loan at Fiorentina, spoke about his experience during and after the collapse on the pitch during Fiorentina-Inter last December.

“I am experiencing this spell with its ups and downs,” he said. “Without football I feel like something is missing, like a singer’s voice.”

“It is like a person who loses a great love and has a great loss, it is difficult because at this moment I feel incomplete, a little empty, as if something is missing.”

“I know that it takes time, I am getting help to start a process of analysis on myself, to relive certain emotions that I felt, it is a process that makes me feel bad, but I know that it will help me for the future.”

“The affection that was on display made me understand the gravity of the situation. I woke up in the hospital without remembering anything and only seeing the reaction of my family, friends but also of the ordinary people I met, made me understand how much fear there really was of losing me.”

“This fear was very important in my opinion, I consider myself really lucky that everything happened at the right time, in the right place, in 13 minutes I was in hospital but unfortunately I received many testimonies from people who in similar episodes to mine did not have the same luck.”

“I wanted to emphasize how important the first aid intervention was in my case, it is the main reason why I am here today. My episode made me understand how thin the line between life and death is and how much we depend on those around us, even strangers.”

“I am truly grateful that all this happened to me in such a perfect way but I want to be close to all the people who have lost loved ones for this very reason.”

“I wanted to tell you that in facing all this, the closeness you have given me has helped me a lot and unfortunately not everyone has this support to overcome life’s obstacles and I send my thoughts to them.”
