Espanyol have on Saturday been dealt a blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that defender Marash Kumbulla will be unavailable for selection in the club’s next outing, through suspension.
Kumbulla for his part featured from the off earlier today, as Espanyol bested Celta Vigo by three goals to one in La Liga.
En route to as much, however, the stopper was shown a yellow card early in the 2nd-half for protesting to the referee.
His 5th of the season to date, Kumbulla is therefore facing up to a one-game suspension, to be served on Monday, December 9th, when his side make the trip to Getafe.
Espanyol, as alluded to above, secured a timely return to winning ways on Saturday.
After welcoming Celta Vigo to Power Horse Stadium, goals on the part of all of Irvin Cardona, Leandro Cabrera and Walid Cheddira guided the Catalans to the right side of a 3-1 result, bringing to an end a four-game La Liga losing streak.
