With the beginning of the January transfer window one week away, the ongoing saga surrounding Roma‘s Paulo Dybala future remains firmly in the spotlight.
Despite Claudio Ranieri’s reassurances following Roma’s match against Parma that the Argentine star “wants to stay with us”, the attacker’s situation is still shrouded in mystery with multiple clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.
In an unexpected twist, former Lazio midfielder Hernanes—who began his career at São Paulo and returned there later—has stepped in as an unofficial ambassador, hoping to woo Dybala to the Brazilian side.
Hernanes, currently playing for ASD Sale in Italy’s Prima Categoria league, commented on an Instagram post where Dybala shared Christmas wishes alongside his wife, Oriana.
“Dyba, São Paulo is your place. Come on, you’ll be happy! And Buon Natale,” Hernanes wrote. His comment sparked a wave of support from Brazilian fans who flooded the post with similar messages.
