Fabrizio Romano reveals that Xavi Simons and Benjamin Sesko are both heading towards the exit door at RB Leipzig, putting Manchester United and other suitors on alert.
Both players are 22, and they’re considered two of the most exciting young stars in the Bundesliga, if not Europe.
In his latest video update on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that the duo are expected to leave Leipzig, especially at the end of a disappointing campaign that saw the club miss out on European football altogether after finishing 7th in the Bundesliga table.

The Italian journalist reveals that Bayern Munich might be Simons’ staunchest admirer, but insists that a host of Premier League giants will be hoping to lure him to English shores. It should be noted that the Netherlands international has been linked with a move to Man Utd on several occasions in the past.
Moreover, an emerging report from Fichajes claims that the Red Devils are determined to launch an onslaught to sign the attacking midfielder, and they could even be willing to reach £113 million.
As for Sesko, he’s been on United’s shortlist for quite some time. The Slovenian is a physically imposing centre-forward who made the move from RB Salzburg to Leipzig in 2023. Despite the club’s struggles, he has showcased noticeable improvement throughout the season.
Romano confirms Arsenal’s interest in the big striker, but also notes that other Premier League giants are in the fray.
While the Leipzig duo are certainly on United’s radar, INEOS’ focus has apparently diverged towards more affordable profiles to bolster their attack.
The Reds are expected the complete the signing of Matheus Cunha in the coming days on a deal worth £62.5 million, while Liam Delap is reportedly the favourite for the striker role. The Ipswich star has a release clause of £30 million.
