Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn was outstanding in midweek against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
The Bhoys came from behind to secure a 3-1 win against the German side, with Kuhn scoring twice on the night in the first half.
Celtic controlled the game really well, with Callum McGregor producing a stellar performance.
The Daily Record was full of praise for the 24-year-old winger, and they gave Kuhn a 9/10 rating for his performance against Leipzig.
Theo Walcott suggests that Kuhn is a gifted winger and could be a superstar for the Hoops. Walcott spoke about Kuhn’s skill, vision and work rate and added that Celtic have a talismanic star who can do wonders in Europe.
Speaking on Champions League Match of the Day via The Daily Record, Walcott said: “It has to be a winger, of course. Nicolas Kuhn started his youth career at Leipzig, so has got that fast energy, high intensity, but it is not just that.
“It’s his elegance on the ball. He’s a very gifted footballer, and when I say gifted, he will be comfortable in any sort of position going forward. But, not just that, he likes to do the (hard) work.
“He is calm, he is composed, he is always on the move. He gets into good positions, he’s very comfortable.
“You just watch this pass (the defence splitting through the ball for Maeda), fantastic and Maeda should be doing better. He keeps wide, he likes to play at his pace. When he has that impact in the game, people sit off him. He was really good.”
Kuhn has been in terrific form this season for the Bhoys, netting nine goals and providing ten assists in all competitions already.
His impressive performance in the Champions League will draw the attention of some of the top clubs across Europe.
The German winger has a contract at Celtic Park until 2029 and has a price valuation of over €10 million. Several clubs have made inquiries already, and could make an attempt to sign him in the next summer window.
Given his long-term contract at the club, Celtic are under no pressure to sell him immediately. But this is also an opportunity for them to demand a massive transfer fee for the winger.
