FC Bayern Women have signed Arianna Caruso on loan from Juventus. The 25-year-old Italy international will spend the rest of the 2024/25 season in Munich.
Francisco De Sá Fardilha, FC Bayern Women’s technical director: “Arianna is a complete midfielder who’s good defensively but also has qualities on the ball. That’s very important for our style of play. We’re delighted to have signed such a good player in a short space of time who also beings leadership qualities and experience.”
Arianna Caruso previously came up against Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir as captains in the Champions League.
Arianna Caruso: “The move to Bayern is a great opportunity for me. I’ve made the right decision. Bayern is a club with great history. I’m delighted to be here and bolster the team. I’m sure that I can develop further here and will have many great experiences. I think I can enrich the team with my character and contribute to us achieving our goals. I’ve played against Bayern three times this season with Juventus and liked the style of play and the way the coach set up the team. I can’t wait to be out on the pitch for Bayern.”

Caruso has played for Juventus since the 2017/18 season and has won the league title six times, plus three domestic cups and super cups each. The midfielder was named in the Serie A Femminile Team of the Year three times between 2021 and 2023. Born in Rome, she made her senior debut for Italy in a Euro qualifier against Israel in 2019.
De Sá Fardilha: “We’re going into a key phase of the season, so we need players like Arianna. She was one who stood out with her performances in the games against Juventus. It’s no coincidence that she was captain and has played for such a big club for so long. Arianna brings both the attitude of a playmaker and also a holding six. She gives us more options for our midfield.”
