With Milan once again showcasing poor finishing in their goalless draw against Genoa, coach Paulo Fonseca is reportedly considering handing 16-year-old Francesco Camarda his second Serie A start in his side’s next game at Verona.
Both Tammy Abraham and his substitute Alvaro Morata proved ineffective against the Rossoblu, leading their manager to wonder whether the Rossoneri teenager may be the solution to fix what is turning into a worrying lack of clinical edge.

Milan have failed to find the net in three of their last four home fixtures in Serie A, highlighting the difficulty of their main attacking options in finding scoring consistency, which became even more evident with Christian Pulisic’s absence.
While Camarda himself still has to score his first competitive goal for the Diavolo, his cameo appearances so far seemed to provide a spark that his team desperately needs, both in the stands and on the pitch.
As explained by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the young striker met his manager’s demands with relentless pressure on the opposing goalkeeper and defenders. More than that, he made a crucial contribution to his side’s winner against Red Star in the Champions League, proving able to carry a significant offensive threat in the box as well.

Now, he’s just waiting to break his duck with his club to become their youngest scorer in Serie A.
After his first start at Cagliari, which was favoured by Morata’s injury and Abraham’s poor fitness, Fonseca may decide to rely on Camarda’s eagerness and craving to make a difference even with all his centre forwards at his disposal to help Milan being more clinical in front of the goal.
