One former Chelsea player has criticised one current Blues man for not influencing games like he did before in the aftermath of the Brighton loss.
Chelsea went down 2-1 to Brighton on Saturday night to go crashing out of the FA Cup in the fourth round of the competition after being 1-0 up early on.
It shows that Chelsea are continuing in this slump of form that they have been in since Christmas and after a very poor transfer window as well, things are not great again at the club right now.
The transfer window closed a couple of weeks back now and it was a very bland and strange one for Chelsea. They only made one signing and he is a player who is just expected to play as a deep backup option this season and then probably go on loan in the summer.
Other than that, Chelsea just loaned a bunch of players out with the only permanent one being Cesare Casadei to Torino in the end.

Former Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley reacted after the Brighton defeat.
‘There was no cutting edge to the game,’ Burley told ESPN as he reflected on the manner of Chelsea’s defeat.
‘Palmer has stopped influencing games like he was. Nkunku up front, I mean what a total waste of money he’s been.
‘And on top of that they are looking a bit fragile at the back.
‘The discussion earlier in the season was whether they could stay in the title race.
‘We kind of expected them to slip but they’ve slipped back into this Graham Potter, Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel pedestrian passing game.
’57 per cent possession – way more than Brighton – but what did they do with it? Absolutely nothing.’
